Arkham Origins

Throughout my formative years, I've taken french as a foreign language in one way or another. It's a beautiful language, and I've mastered the pronunciation and can easily count off the numbers in my head by now, but it never really stuck with me in a meaningful way. Japanese, however, has always held a mysterious, non-Latin based allure in my heart. Many of the shows I used to watch as a boy were Japanese-influenced, or even originally Japanese and dubbed over into English, and as I've grown up I've come to watch more classical live-action material, like Rashomon, Seven Samurai, Ran, Ikiru, House, Woman in the Dunes. I feel like I've cultivated a basic appreciation of Japanese culture from the juvenile to the mature, the absurd to the sublime, and that by learning the language itself, I'll be able to immerse myself in the culture as easily as its intended audience is able to.
